ABOUT PROTIDES.com

This site was created in response to the popularity of the tides section on a fishing site with requests to include other areas. It's tides site was built to ease the selection of desired times to fish at a glance over a months period and with increased specifics on a tabular view. Just happens the format works for everyone. The requests were from a broad range of folks including the weather community, fishing community, diving community, shellfishing, beachcombing and whatever else you could find a use for while on the beach.

By the way, the "pro" in protides.com stands for "every other domain name was taken". Nothing further.  :-)


WARNING:

Do not use for navigation. This sites tide prediction information is to be used at your own risk. These are tide predictions and do not take into account weather related impacts to the tides. While rare, there also exists the possibility that some stations data may be off. In such cases the data is usually flipped and can be adjusted. Heads up of such a case is appreciated. Those stations are either corrected or removed. In any case, use this information wisely, and at your own risk.

NOTE TO WEB ADMINS.

  • If you have a website, feel free to link to ProTides.com how ever you like. To the main page, any of it's state / region specific station list pages or directly to station pages.

  • If you wish to have a page of your own with the direct links to the ProTides.com station pages on your site, copy the links as I have them listed so your don't have to rebuild them from scratch and then modify to suit your needs with regards to CSS, etc.

  • Framing the tide station pages is fine as long as it's displayed as is with the ads.

  • If you would like the map on site but prefer a condensed version, say for framing between columns, the following page omits the states links column and simply has the map. http://www.protides.com/map/all-map.html and a good example of it being framed can be seen here.

  • No print for distrubution unless approved by ProTides.com.
